Small team. Hard problems. Real silicon.
We are a small group of photonics and machine-learning engineers in Campbell, California. We use AI to accelerate design, tape out our own chips, measure them, and build the tools we wish had existed when we designed them.
If the essay on our front page reads like something you have been thinking about too, we would like to hear from you. Send a note and whatever best shows your work, whether that is a paper, a repository, a model, a layout, or a measurement.
One more thing. The mesh above drifts: its heaters wander, and the outputs wander with them. Tell us how you would lock it. Sensing, control, calibration, architecture, whatever you would actually build. Or how would you use AI to automate the design of a system like this? Pick whichever question interests you. There is no single right answer, and we read every one.
